    Why CELLINK?

    The CELLINK-Neo replaces the CELLINK-B as the very best and leading dash camera battery pack for cars. The system was specially designed for use in BMW cars to prevent low voltage warnings. The system is now used in many different high-end vehicle brands and works to offer the user a long duration of CCTV video recording with their dash cam, after only 1 hour of driving time.

    The high quality lithium-iron phosphate battery means the system can reach temperatures of up to 70'C degrees before the internal computer automatically shuts the system off safely.

    The CELLINK-Neo is also very high quality with exceeding reliability and performance. Offering the longest amount of recording time compared with any other model, running times can include ~18hrs+ for a DR750S-2CH and ~32hrs+ for a single channel dash camera (DR750S-1CH).

    The new CELLINK-Neo is an advanced mobile power station for your dash camera - this is the latest 2017 model by the Korean manufacturer, Egens Co. This model replaces the highly renowned original CELLINK-B series 2 model which has built such a strong reputation.

    How Does it Work?

    The system works by charging a high quality lithium-iron battery when your car is running. When your car is turned off, the charged battery is then used to provide continuous 12V power to your dash camera without the need to drain any power from your cars battery. This process is very effective in reducing the risk of battery discharge, low voltage warnings and flat batteries.

    Because the CELLINK-Neo charges using your cars alternator only, it puts zero strain on your cars battery. Which means you will not be affecting the life or integrity of your cars battery or electronics when using the CELLINK-Neo.

    1) I have a new car (under agent's warranty), am I allowed to install the Cellink to my dash cam to enable the parking mode?
    Professional installation should not void any new car warranty. However, if you do not wish to hardwire the Cellink-Neo into your car, the Cellink-Neo can also support charging via the car cigar jack. If you plug your Cellink directly into your cigarette socket, then this should not cause any issues - just remember to run the Cellink in the LOW mode only.

    2) I have a high-end/luxury car and I heard that some installation methods of the Cellink can cause a battery warning error?
    The Cellink-Neo battery is a standalone power supply, therefore it will only be charged when the car engine's is running and hence it will not cause an error like "Excessive Leakage Current" in BMWs. 

    3) What is the advantages of using a Cellink battery over tapping the power to my existing car battery instead?
    Automotive batteries perform and behave differently to regular lithium ion batteries found in smartphones. Unlike lithium-based batteries, batteries for vehicles last much longer when stored in a charged state. Instability caused by leaving it discharged most of the time will increase the sulfation process, a build-up of lead sulfate crystals. A sulfated battery can lead to:
    • Loss of cranking power
    • Longer charging times
    • Excessive heat build-up leading to "boil out"
    • Shorter running times between charges
    • Dramatically shorter battery life
    By installing the Cellink-Neo, you can ensure your batteries health is maintained, while also having the benefit of running your dash cam in parking mode for extended periods of time.
    **You need to drive for 40mins - 80mins per day at least in order to charge the Cellink-Neo to it's full capacity. Shorter driving times will result in fewer hours of parking mode. Charge time is also affected by the charge mode setting (9A/5A).
